Any recommendations for full wetsuits for kiting in the winter here. I have heard that 'made to measure' is difficult and expensive. What thickness will do the job! Thanks

I use a 3mm throughout winter, plenty warm,, get one with good wind protection panels.. Oh and put some velcro on your ankles!

3mm body 2mm arms is more than enough, and plenty of flex as well, have a standard npx wettie off the shelf for 200.00 is great

Go to a surf shop and try on as many as possible. It's a bitch getting in and out of the things, but you'll find some fit much better than others.

Thanks for the tips guys. I guess I have to bite the bullet in the next week or so. The full suits were out in force on the river last weekend.

I'll take the question one step further, if I were to buy a long arm/leg wettie for winter I'll need the sleeves and legs shortened a fair bit, where the heck can I get that done in the Perth area?

I'm guessing that it would be cheaper to modify an 'off the shelf' wettie than pay a fortune for a custom one.

Thanks for the advice, ended up buying an o'neil psycho, as flexible watertight easy to get into. Price mid $300.
