can you kite all year round in WA

Hi all

I'm now abot to move to Perth & want to know can you kite all year round? & what size kites do i need?

9/10m and 11/12m should get you through, best times are october-march, with south to south west thermal sea breezes, but you get the odd good day the rest of the year, check out the waska website on http://waksa.org.au.86.aspwebhosting.com.au/ its got the most common spots in and around Perth but there is a whole lot of coast if you further out

I'd bring your 7.5! many days you can ride small kites, and winter fronts can justify a 6m.

it is rare for a good day to come about in winter, its either no wind or bloody strong [like up to 45 knots]

Cheers guys well i move on friday so will be in perth saturday i'm ring my 12m, 10m & 9m kites plus my twin tip with my other kite gear will turn up in about 6 weeks time so will have them for your winter. what sort of wet suit will i need for your winter? looking forward to some good kite day in & around perth.

i use 3/2 steamer in winter.

hah true right. a week ago i was down my local spot and i had my 12m up cause there was hardly any wind around, look over the hills and saw this massive front appear 30knots+ wasn't my best sesh out on the water..
