as i was boating on the swan this arvo, i noticed not a single kite at point walter. i was wondering if it has been banned as a kiteboarding site as i was planning on heading down there tomorrow. can anyone shed any light on this

You were boating on the river, right? So you have to have at least some awareness of wind, right? You know the direction it was blowing, right? You looked at today's graphs, right? You have one post, right? I'm biting my tongue here but I just say one word....

Clueless TROLL

Light shed....

Umm - point walter is a good spot to kite when it's offshore . . . what's the issue bingles?
Anyway, i've not heard bugger-all about it being banned at that location, so unless there are some big-ass signs down there or the ranger says something - go for you life.

Ok, so I'm only a newbie and don't know all the rules . . . but I have been down at the sand spit on a sou'easter and I wasn't the only one. Given the fact I met my instructor down there I'd say that the area is open although the day I was there a paddle bash was on, so it made dodging the boats a little interesting.
