Was going to hunt around and see if I could get a few people keen on a swannies---Trig downwinder.

Just a reminder to all, these are not summer sea breezes so take care out there. Frontal winds can be unpredictable and westerlies do not allow a great margin for error in that location.

Well what a very pleasent surprise yesterday was looked out the front to see the trees dancing and that was me off kite in car and down to mulla,s
had at least 20 mins before anyone else turned up
great session

I also see nothing wrong with Mulas, actually its my favourite location cause its 3 min from my home.

I hope today is a very good example of how Winter/Autumn winds are so different to Summer winds. Today the wind was blowing very nicely cross onshore with not a cloud in the sky. It's currently 4.30pm and the weather has changed in the blink of an eye. I'm looking out my window and all I see is grey sky, heavy rain and 35kts wind with 45kt gusts.

Hopefully the new guys who have never kited in Winter/Autumn can get a better understanding of how a session can go from great fun to a very terrifying nightmare.

Guys, Mullaz is a great spot, been kiting there since 2006, I think you'll find these warning are for your own safety and are mainly directed at any complacency at this time of year. We're coming into winter front season, things change really quickly, we lose the beach, shallow water close to the fence line, etc......etc......
Remember, even the guys that think there good get it wrong, stay safe and enjoy

Info above is spot on, the reference to "that location" was in relation to a westerly being an onshore wind. Mix the unpredicatble onshore wind, beach break and receding beach and it can get out of hand quickly.
