Is it worth upgrading the bearings on my wheels? I am wondering if it is worth the expense and effort to change from my stock wheelbarrow wheel bearings to something else. We have a shop in town that could likely supply anything I want.

It depends on the bearing that came with the wheels. Mine were absolute junk, and would fail you in a race. If they are a sealed bearing type, or roller bearing type, they should be OK.

If you have pics, we might be able to help with the decision.

I would also take spare bearings, tires and an extra wheel with you just in case.

Good luck, john

With my bearings I take the inner seal off as no dirt/sand will get in but salt becomes easier to wash out and then regrease
