It doesn't do anything for me. Sorry but the LLF Mini is simpler. I built mine with a 100mm Angle Grinder a Stick Welder and a couple of simple tools. Land Yachts just don't get Simpler than a LLF Mini, well maybe a plank and some casters but we won't go there.

Welcome Grizzley66, that site has been around a while, the style of yacht is fairly dated in design. (It also wouldn't meet the current FISLY specs for any of their classes)
Why pay for plans for a dated design when you can get FREE plans on seabreeze of a more modern and perhaps simpler to build yacht.

struth fellas you gave that poor bloke a sad welcome
the yacht looks fine to me , Ive built yachts like it myself, albeit a few years ago.
it would be fine for somebody just starting out.
plans like these are what kept the sport going whilst we were all off raising our kids and paying off mortgages. I rapt to see that this stuff is still out there,
but yes thare are simpler ways of building them today , and they are free
welcome to the seabreeze site grizzly66, I hope you get some great ideas for your own yacht as you build it,.
dont be shy about asking questions, there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid mistakes. its very likely that one of us has already made the mistake and can give you a heads up.
i promise the boys wont be so quick off the mark again

Grizzley66 Adams,

Welcome to our little Play Group as Paul rightly pointed out we didn't give you much of a welcome. Well he doesn't have much of a sense of fun.. Welcome but I was thinking of your convenience and also promoting his design.. What a whinger!!
If you need to vent your spleen at me?? Hey! Go for it. It is all part of the fun as long as we don't get serious about it. You will find that you have joined up with a great international bunch of folks that are only too willing to come to your aid if you need us..

I bought this set of plans. It appeared a little complicated for me. I decided to go with the LLmini for my first build. You get free plans and great support. My frame is done and I am building my fiberglass seat (because Nikrum gave me flack about not doing it in glass).
