Can you all do me a favour and compress your photos when putting on the website. My download alocation is being used up too quick.
Before you go to download a photo, make a special copy.
. In Microsoft Office Picture Manager, look for the bit that says Edit Pictures,
then when that pops up,click on Compress Picture, then click on Web Pages, then OK, then File, save, give it a new and obvious name,.
when you download to the site the new file will be a few Kbytes instead of the Mbyte ones that dont fit on the screens . Uploading is really fast too.

(I cant believe Im giving people computer lessons)

If you quote someone with a picture in the post, just delete the IMG - /IMG line. Perhape Laurie might like to appoint a Landyachting mod to tidy this up

Perhaps Laurie could implement an automagical image resizing feature on the image upload thing.. I know of a couple of other sites that compulsarily resize images when they're uploaded to make sure that they are reasonable.

Remember, it's not just your download allocation that is getting killed.. Laurie has to pay to send you the data in the first place..
