On the "Bludge" again
In order to overcome the problems that "bindi's" and "3 corner jack's" will cause me
on my trip across the block 2010, i need to do some preventive, engineering practices.
DON'T mention tyre gunk, hate it , hate it, hate it, yyyyyyyyuuuuuuuuukkkkkkk!!
So what i intend to do is add tyre scrapers to my chassi, as we did with our bike tyres back in the good old school days
I know...... its not modern thinking...BUT..... it works
I have here a diagram of what i am looking for, you may have some laying around, gathering dust, you may just like to donate them, they would be cherished
So I be looking for six old unloved paddles to adopt, till death, etc.
They would need to be at least 200mm in depth and 100mm in width with a strong center shaft for mounting to the chassi by saddles. As they wear they can be rotated slightly to the profile of the tyre. I think tough plastic would be OK , injection molded may suffice also. Colours are not really a concern. If you have something in this line that you would be interested in adopting out, please PM . I am very understanding.........

They would have to be able to withstand...corrugated induced vibrations

A method told to me once by a farmer is to line the tyre with another strip of rubber or a cut down tyre this stops punctures, not good for balancing but very puncture proof.
"Clarke rubber" has strip rubber say120-140mm wide and 5-6mm thick should do it i would think. It would need to be a severe spike to get through a tyre and the rubber strip and then the tube to cause problems.
