Hi Gents/Gurus,
If a fella had in the back of his mind to keep on the lookout for a carbon mast to suit a Class 5 build what length would he be looking for? The sails I have in mind are the 5.5m Club88 (that Buggs makes) and the really sexy looking Airtrack 5.5 (if they ever answer the email!). Or do they cut the sails to suit the length as well as the curve? If so what mast length would I be ideally be looking for?

you need to chase a SDM( standard mast diameter)ICMS(IMCS?) of35or more, and as long as possible,. a class 5 typically has a mast length of 5.3-5.4m..
te base will still need stiffening,and you do need to take care of the mast. keep it out of the sun,dont scratch or dent etc
