Maybe I should buy a Tatts ticket or bet on the horses tomorrow...

Found a 5.3m fully battened windsurfer sail on the beach yesterday. Sure, it looks likes it has been on the bottom of the sea floor and it is very mouldy at this point, but there are no rips or tears.

Wierd. But good..

Domestos has seen 70% of the mould go away on the Tyronsea, along with some vigorous wet broom brushing and some UV epxosure just hanging on the washing line.

The sailcloth seems to be a bonded Mylar/Dacron composite that is trying to unbond. But all the stitching looks good and as a prototype sail it should do the job. Pics to come.

Looks like it will need lots of mast bend to flatten it out. Seems really full.

No barnacles but still has some color and the stitching is OK. If I just crank up the mast bend do you think it will be flat enough?

Have a look at this tread and the luff curve measurements and see what the difference is.

Thanks for that. Very helpful.
Trying to get my A Class back on the water a.s.a.p after I went through the trampoline last race last season. Not a good look. Found a Canvas guy just down the road and will investigate tomorrow.
