Lorelei,
Why do you want one person to stand up? This would be disaster when he/she fell off at speed or as Hills noted, when the yacht fell over. It would also raise the center of gravity which decreases the inherent stability
Can you give us some info please of what you wish to do?

.
I dont see a problem with that.
heres a few simple questions to help me .
1 what size sailing area do you have in mind?
what do you plan to move it around with?
do you want to be open or closed in?
and finally the question they all asked , why do one of yo want to stand up?
I ask this because it can get a dangerous at speed . we have a little saying here on Lake Lefroy.
SHQ
S**t Happens Quick
you could take a nasty fall. If you didnt design the standing persons area properly
Sounds like an interesting Challenge

somtimes its neccessary to watch things go wrong from a distance to analyse the problem. and you can see and explain to bystanders what not to do.
and its good to watch it all go wrong[}:)]

somtimes its neccessary to watch things go wrong from a safe distance to analyse the problem avoid the pain. and you can see and explain to bystanders what not to do that you don't know that person and had nothing to do with it at all.
and its good to watch it all go wrong to someone else[}:)]
