just started another sail cut and while thinking about how to get enough reinforcement into the top of luff pocket[stop mast from breaking through] Ive decided this sail and future sails will be made with eyelets and have the option of being adjustable;;advantage;1 mast multiple sails.i know the luff on this sail will be 200 mm shorter than my mast so was going to make another shorter mast tip,and as i am already needing 2 eyelets ,front and rear of boom 1 more is a simple solution.Beware of the average hardware eyelet kits[crap]get mine done at local upholsterer stainless steel and last.Sail on right Ive used the reinforced eyelet section from the boom out haul and stitched it on ,new sail on the left will have the eyelet about 50mm in from edge, already seven layers of material there plus the luff pocket will be plenty strong enough.
