all the old landsailors know that if you can see under the boom ,its too high

when sailingyour head would be down on the cushion so you wouldnt have much trouble seeing. tacking and gybing are just a slight letting out of the sheet, do your bit , sheet in and zoom away. flapping sails and booms way out is all rather unprofessional.
