Spotted these on my kite site and thought that there may be some overlap of interest.

They are the skinny brothers to my kite buggy "bigfoots"

Very nice wheels. Just got to make sure you space them out beyond hand reach or rivet a shield onto the inner facing sides.

They look very sexy but $190 per rim plus tyre and tube puts them in the realm of those with an unlimited budget. Sorry not me.

They look VERY interesting chook, could you find out the bearing type as the numbers listed are not something I recognize, I'd be looking for a 20mm centred bearing, find out the weight while your at it please, then we can research some tyres.
you might find that the tyres might be just a bit to high sitting and would tend to roll off, but it is worth investigating further

The bearings are the same as in my bigfoots at 42mm OS, 20mm shaft and 12mm thick. They are fairly low profile through the races. Very low maintance too.
The ones on the bug, did well over 3000kms, before I repacked them, to head up for your Lefroy weekend.
I'll ask Jason what the weight is expected to be.
Being all alloy, it shouldn't be too much.

LY,
That is a possibility but if they are anything like the 8" on the Razor?? Damn! I'd hate to get my thumb caught in the bead as it Banged against against the Rim. The Bearings are the same as the other wheels 42mm Od x 20mm ID x 12mm Wide That is 1 21/32" X 25/32" and just shy of .5" I was talking to a mechanic a few weeks back and he looked around the Razor and noted the front wheel bearing as being the same as those in Alternators, Hey! Don't Shoot the Messenger. Metrics is always in a shave different from Imperial.
What I want to know is why have Briskites got those and not the smaller brothers??? I am thinking of buying more in from the Europe and I can get them a couple of bucks cheaper.

Like these Ron?

2 1/2" x 8" www.briskites.com.au/index.php?l=product_detail&p=530
4" x 8" www.briskites.com.au/index.php?l=product_detail&p=528

Hope this helps. Or do you mean not in stock?
Sysmic (China) only manufactures in batches I guess, so most are preordered.
The finish is first class with a tough clear coat that I have not chipped yet

Rest assured I don't pay $1 for them.
These wheels have been specifically designed and manufactured for buggy/landsail and unfortunately there aren't enough of us in the world to buy enough to reduce manufacturing costs.

do you know the weight of them jas? I looked at what tyres they may fit today and couldnt match them to a bicycle size, so they would have to have a M/C tyre.
then you have the problem of trying to accelerate a flywheel, and the rolling off problem.
sorry for the questions, cos they do look good.
on hard ground alloy wheels have a habit of breaking , but these look like they could be a better bit of gear
