I have removed the ALSA link, The previous ALSA committee (SA Qld) in there wisdom successfully managed to d-registered the national ALSA association yesterday.

They hope to form another association and I wish them well, But with a bit of luck they will eventually tell us who they as instead of posting anomalously on here.

I am kinda glad this has come to an end, they now have no reason to try and cause conflict on here.

We have done some great things on here, and as this is an open forum we can continue to do them. So lets keep this great forum going and move forward with out the interference of the anonymous few.

Cheers

I must admit....that i dont know who these people are except they say they are fellow landyachters. This would have to say that a working disclosure of who one is , re members id is needed for integrity. Most genuine posters here are fairly easy to discern that they are genuine. I thought the thread was covering some good ground that could assist landyachting in general. So being pirates aboard they should ....walk the plank...........[}:)] it may even cause me not to be so open

GOD DAMN IT! You guys. What is the matter with you? Paul, TP1, aus230 etc. If you know who these clowns are, why do you not list their Handles all can Know the Offenders trying to wreck the Forum.. Nail There Offending Butts to the Wall and we can Ignore any Posts they put up.. It is not enough for you to say you know and keep it a secret..
I have in the past recieved PM's warning me of this problem and that the offenders?? are causing problems.. Create a Folder and Lock it into the beginning of our forum so that we all will know what or who to look for...

PS; Up date it when and where required.

I think these people need to put up the reason....
They did what they did?
Why they did it?
What they hope to achieve?
And why they thought they have the right to do it?
Not under an anonymous names or group names but their REAL NAMES.....

And please explain why I have been anonymously contacted (by them) on several occasions with threats, accusations, insinuations and abuse.

I will give them until 7pm Sunday evening 12th Feb 2012 to respond to these questions.
If they choose not to respond to this forum (which would be very foolish), after that point I will consider my options in passing on the names, addresses and phone numbers (which are ALL public record) of those people involved in this action to other REAL people who participate on this forum and possibly the police.

People on this forum should NOT assume that we will be invited or welcome in their circus....
Land Sailing in Australia as we know it is now virtually dead!!!
The way I see it unless you are prepared to abide by "their" rules / regime, your on your own, and part of that is participating in (non approved by them) forums..... doubt it?...... that's part of the "expected" conditions of belonging to the ALYC.

I include myself in this..... WTF are we bitching about.. These Clowns have done us a favor.. They can no longer claim the control over Aussie Land Yachting.. I don't care if we have or have not a National Association but obviously there are those who do. I doubt strongly that it will ever affect me and a few others of the Free Sailors Community but if National and International international standards are important to the rest of you then (Wait for it, Hold! Hold!)
Why don't you go for it while you can and Form another National Body and run it for the Members and as International Rules require. Perhaps when the likes of myself and others of a similar mind turn up at a venue we aren't treated as Pariahs but included in a different level of competition or just sail along as comrades of a Like Mind..

Go For It before someone else does..

this is all just to stupid for words, something that is spose to be fun has now dropped to the level of mud slinging and i for 1 don't wish to become involved with anything or anyone that has to resort to this sort of crap just to prove a point,, I will stil go ahead with the misfits here in SA as a social sailing group/club but as for any involvment with any National body I'd rather stick hot pins in my eyes...I came into this sport because it was a fun thing to do, but now i have to wonder if it's all worth it, i doubt that I'll ever compete on any national level so i can't see the point of all this....I'm sorry but it's all bull****,,,,how could we ever hope to attract people to this sport with all this going on........well all i have to sayis.........MISFITS RULE OK so while howm ever it is, is trying for global domination or what ever the hell they're trying for I'll just be out sailing and anyone is welcome to join me........

Unfortunately this will probably not be the last of it. Neither Lepoards or vandals change their spots.

Hopefully as Vic is saying this is an opportunity for a new beginning to which I give my moral support at the very least.

BB57,
I hope that your remarks were not directed at me or what I said.. I am suggesting that the disbandment of ALSA is not all BAD.. If Members insist there is now a great opportunity to Start a New National Body.. I am also suggesting that those Wreckers who are causing problems on this Forum Should Be Named in a File so that we can see who they are and take their words for what they are worth.
Do not Allow disunity destroy this forum or Camaraderie, if we do The Wreckers have won..

i think youve just given them something to giggle over.
considering that one of the group is quite probably the person who did the anonymous phone call thing to you .
this is how they work..
keep in mind nikrum that they have and will probably continue to use thier anonymous avatars for the reason that the rules of the forum honour that anonymity.
bizarrely, they continue to complain about what a terrible thing this forum is , but they probably spend more time logged on than you and I , just waiting for something to complain about.
landsailing trolls, who would have thought they existed

Lets move on, If ALSF want to get there federation going good luck to them. Going by the emails that I have received they are not even happy to do that.

To help them along here is there web site again and it may contain a pic or two of there steering committee.

www.australianlandyachtingfederation.com/

I personally would like us to focus our time and effort on promoting land yachting, I don,t agree that it is the end of land yachting in AUS. The Sandgropers has a very good club, the Lefroy club is increasing it numbers, The misfits will succeed , Esperance numbers are building and there are yachts being built all over the world because of this forum.

Cheers

no certainly not directed at you,, i just can't get my head around all the crap that is the fight for control of landsailing here in Australia, like i said I came into this because it was a FUN thing to do, this fight for "control" isn't fun it's chest banging and giant ego's, and has the potential to turn good people away from having anything to do with it,,,,,,,,,,,,I will work to promote sailing as a FUN FAMILY PAST TIME,, i couldn't and wouldn't give any support in anyway to anyone who goes about their "business" hiding behind "nicknames" I have nothing to hide and i don't mind anyone knowing who i am and what i'm about and the last time i checked this was a free country,, the old addage vote with you feet comes into play here i suspect....It's fine to have a national body but if no one supports it then it's a bit of a paper tiger,,"they" are playing on the fact that there is a certain amount of disunity amongst the land sailing community here, time to get back to grass roots and start getting people involved in land sailing not "dick measuring"

yeh i agree, let them do what ever it is they want to do and lets try and repair the damage done, if they want to do thier thing let them,, like i said it's a free country, they can do their thing we'll do ours and like i said I'll put my time into promoting this as a family fun sport/pastime and yeh we'll just do our thing, i'm not going to tell anyone what to do or how to do it i just know how i intend to do it, i hope you're right and the misfits go forward.. time to get back to grass roots and start having a bit of fun again.......

They a bunch of AH's aren't they. That is part of my reason for wanting Avatars to be shown. We all have a right to an opinion but that opinion should never Stoop to Personal abuse (With the exception of me of course.. How else can I express my friendly nature) and anonymity, I think that if you have a Beef with something said or done at a venue then Stand Up and Clear the Air immediate. Do not let things Fester and turn Gangrenous, Ignore posts that want to turn us against each other.
Now Let us Shut this Thread down and get on with the friendly jibes It is good practice for when you are on the Salt Pan.

You're right of course BB57. Let's get on with our Sport. Once again Paul you are right "More Grist for the Mill"

I think the way this thread is going, all we're doing is perpetuating the issue. I know at least one of their crew would be very happy with this thread and I suspect the number of blocked emails in my spam filter will increase now.

I would prefer to let them do their thing, I don't believe anyone on here or in the clubs listed above will ever be welcome in ALYF and as Vic said there are now enough clubs that, should we see the need, we could always start another national association.

But until that time, lets let them pursue the political/profit making side of land sailing and wish then the continued success they've experienced so far and we'll pursue the fun/social/technical/construction side of land sailing on here.

As said before by many of you, lets keep our side of land sailing fun, like this forum always intended.

I totally agree Phil.
As I started this thread with the intention of moving on, We could discuss this issue to the cows come home so why wast the effort, So lets lock it and get back to promoting our sport and help in the building of yachts, sharing experiences and show plenty of pics of what we have been up to.

Cheers
Vic
