Had an interesting experience on the beach yesterday
As I was sailing north in my class5 I saw a 4wd coming south near the water and a hangglider that appeared to be landing on the beach close to the sandhills
I decided to give the hangglider a wide berth and moved over toward the 4wd
only to discover at the last minute there was a wire connecting the two!
I just had time to swing out toward the hangglider where the wire was higher
and passed underneath
That was a new one for me

I saw a hanglider / car years ago do a similar thing years ago....
The guy flying the glider came to a sudden stop as it hit the ground and became VERY good friends with his local dentist

We had a Gyrocopter fold up and drop out of the sky on our turning mark one Day.
I believe the lesson that day was 1/4 gutter bolts are NOT high tensile
