There has been much talk about rules for this class and that class and sailing rules etc. I have sent two articles to the seabreeze guru Laurie, to check and upload in the articles section (under news) of this website. One article is a comparison table of class 5 specs for ALSA, FISLY, Pacrim Assn. The other is the ALSA sailing rules. Once these have been uploaded in the next day or so then anyone can access and download.

It would be good if other important docments could also be uploaded to this section then this info is available to any who are interested and we do not have to bother one person with repeated requests for rules and specs.

Perhaps ALSA would consider uploading the National information sheet and entry form on this part of the website too?

Maybe someone out their wants to write *their* version of a Dummies guide to land yacht sailing down and include it as an article too? There is lots of scope for interesting information to be put where it can be found again easy rather than lots in old threads overtime. There is soooo many Kite and other articles I am sure us land yacht pilots can come up with some great ones too?

This is an absolutely fantastic idea.

It would need to be emphasized that this forum is just a distribution point rather than a repository and that any documents held here should also be securely kept elsewhere in case the server crashes and can't be recovered.

(thats the IT administrator in me showing itself )

Good point Phil, bad choice of words on my part. Any info posted up would need to be considered a guide, verification would still be needed anyway if said info were to be used seriously.

Out of interest did Laurie say if we'd get our own tab?

I think we all owe Laurie a huge debt of gratitude for hosting our forum. Make sure you give any of his sponsors your patronage any chance you get.

Hi Crew,

Yes, the articles have been received - cheers. Apologies for the delay it's a technical issue in that the articles section doesn't have a "Land Yacht" bit, so the system needs a minor upgrade for them to appear. Alternatively, you might like to send me a word doc/PDF (to laurie .. @ .. se...abreeze.com.au ) and I can put them in a sticky .. whatever the case they will appear in the next few days.

Also, thanks for your kinds words .. please .. no huge debt! It's fantastic to see everybody come together as a community, issues solved, things built, ideas shared. It's great to be in a position to be able to help!

Enjoy .. Laurie

Fantastic thanks Laurie, I will have to look at the diagrams I inserted into the sailing rules, they have all come out black? I will have to work out what I did wrong and try fixing up the diagrams as they do make the right of way rules clearer with the diagrams included.

Hey, I see you can have advertising. So who's going to put "www.seabreeze.com.au" on their sail at the nationals?
