that was an interesting list. most of the siteswere old and inactive. and the one under construction really gave no info. could they be thje Gunnadoo yacht club. Wouldnt mind ripping down the beach in the pheonix site though. Lake lefroy LSC is working on a site but dont hold your breathas we're all a bit busy. Qiute frankly the help Ive been able to give people via this forum in the last few weeks has been greater than the last few years. cheers Paul
The sandgropers are a very long surviving surviving club because they went to a one design back in 87. Theyre not to big on keepingthe web site up to date. They prefer to go fishing.
This forum has provided more information that is of benifit to Australia than any other website I have found. It would be nive if ALSA had a sponsored site like this that was able to provide current information and correlate all the clubs in Australia.
Having built the wensite for the 2006 Pacrim I know how much time it takes to design develope and update the site. If each club had some one who was interested in providing articles and pictures on a regular basis it would be worth considering developing a web site.
mate , I thought you were too busy. My daughter has nearly got it finished but you need to sit down with her in the next holidays and get it running. And you need to checkyour spelling
just remember that all ideas rely on voluteers. you will have to do all the work to set it up and then have to keep it going constantly. you'll notice that all the sites youve found are essentially "dead"as the person who started it has lost interest
Seems that forums are a good idea if they are supported by being used. Seems that only a few are doing this here. Is this because many do not know about it or is it always the same few that do every thing? If a web site was started that all the clubs could use to post information on and be a central point for every one to be aware of what is happening. It would only need one person from each club to submitt information to the site builder for updating. Or a forum like this site but it can be a bit hard to get around and keep track of what is happening.
