Great stuff!! I've joined, there can't be too many landyachting forums!!

Hey just as a bit of fun and solidarity, everyone who joins from here should put "Seabreeze Crew" in their signature with our URL below that. There's no reason why we can't do a bit of cross promotion of forums is there??

Just wondering apart from the forum has anyone found mention of "FISLY miniyacht specification" on the FISLY web site, I would have thought it would be in the rules/classes. If you enter the site through the forum (www.fisly.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=2) it's hard to access the rest of the site, I'd suggest access through http://www.fisly.org/index.php?id=3. It's made me realize the layout of this site (seabreeze) is quite good or maybe it's because of being familiar with it
eg. one click to get from writing this to checking out the wind and tide at Redcliffe (7 knots, OK back to the shed and turn those bushes for the taipan) Love the drop down menu system
I had trouble finding minirules on the NALSA site for a while so it probably is just me. Interesting to note with NALSA they have the same start rule as some Australian clubs verses push starts or mobile starts
ie.11.
Outside help pushing a Pilot/Yacht at the starting line is not allowed. Outside help holding a yacht at the starting line is allowed.
12.
Pilots have to start race seat belted in yacht.

Fisly can be rather slow to change things or make corrections. I have been trying to change my a=sailnumber from KA 3 to AUS 3 since 1993 but they just dont seem to pay attention.
just joined , could get either of the 2 mini post to come up

landyacht, yes FISLY can be slow but since 1993 !!

In my new role as a FISLY Vice Presidwnt I will bw trying to move on some issues that can be speeded up and changed if thats what people want.

Forum is a 1st step, thanks to all for the support.

Now how about trying to change your number here - http://fisly.org/index.php?id=6

Pilot rgistration on the FISLY.org site.

Also, it would be good to see some Australian sailing sites added to the new site register on FISLY. Go to Competition, Beaches, add a beach (or desert !) fisly.org/index.php?id=3

Lots of other info hidden on the site - Someone should send the webmaster an updato on activities, clubs, links etc , a newsletter. For the FISLY site - newsflash tab- country news tab - . Its a start !
