Well the "Australian online Landyacht community" is now a whole 6 months old. In years to come, if this section survives, you all will be looked upon as the founding members, so I just thought I'd throw this out there.

How do you think we're going. Is there anything we could be doing to make the forum more interesting, enjoyable, informative, fun etc etc etc.

Should we recommend any self imposed moderation, perform any housekeeping or anything else to make it a better place? Are there any other sections you'd like to see created, for example club sections etc.

Any ideas can be made into a sticky, or added as a post under Lauries "posting guidelines" for all new forumites to read when they join.

All feedback good or bad will be greatfully accepted!!

Forum is great hillsy. It's filling up with a heck of a lot of posts. I went through all mine other day and deleted what was either too old or no longer relevant.

Probably a good idea for us all to do occasionally.

It has turned into a gold mine of information with the best exchange of ideas and opinions one could hope for in a very friendly environment.

Seems to get better every day and I hope it keeps getting better as I believe it is the best thing to grow our sport and recreation.

I tell my employees that there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid accidents caused by not asking the question.
The relevance here is that we are all learning ,getting great ideas, saving years of trials by finding out who did what already. All in only 6 months.
I feel proud that all this started bacuase I was looking for a mast and Hills had the sense to turn it into a forum.

People are sharing there ideas. But we should encorage more expermentation and experement with new designs. Looking at the World titals our sail designe for class 5 is way behind, The class 5 are now using 8 battens and a very diferent sail cut.

As I said in a previous post some of us like to build and try different things

Cheers all, that's exactly what I'm after. BTW I agree, I really enjoy the forum too. I think we've got a great group in here and there's a great goup in the whole seabreeze forum and Laurie is an excellent administrator!!

I'd also like to see more of the lurkers introduce themselves, just so we know who's out there, but if they'd just like to take it all in, in silence that's also good. All are very welcome regardless of if you're a current, past or future landsailor, into any other form of sailing, kiting etc or if you just find it interesting and never intend to get involved at all.

I've asked Laurie to create a section we can post info about events that can be used by the clubs or individuals alike.

Keep the feed back and suggestions coming, its only going to be as good as we all make it

Most welcome to come out for a sail if you are coming up to Safety Bay anytime. Sundays are club race days and can easy get you a ride.

Gday, next time we have a long weekend why not come up to the desert and have a real sail on our fantastic salt lake. We love to scare visitors.
