I presume you mean the QUEBEC. I saied in Lytham in '87 and I think it would have been more fun to sit on the beach and watch Jean-Phillipe and the rest of the French sail.
In Europe the dominant yachts seem to be 1 STANDART. Im told that most of the UK cl5 pilots have gone to them or alternatively 2 the PROMO. the PROMO was introduced last year and is basically a CL 5 with restricted chassis options and wheel barrow wheels. I have one here in OZ and personally believe they may yet save FISLY from the graveyard. If wou are a really big lad or just fat I would not suggest PROMO in anything less than 25knts on abeach in Europe. the bigger pilots seem to be heading for CL 3.
the fastest PROMOS at the moment are the Seagull ones but the best of the Rest in at the WC 08 was ROBERTO SCARVI (ARG 25)in a yacht he built himself. This shows that you can beat the manufacturers hold on sailing.
There is an alterative to the FISLY thing if good sailing and close class racing is your thing. There is a little yacht called the BLOKART that is giving FISLY a run for its money. I dont think you would be dissapointed with them. PLease dont let anybody know I said this as I am regarded in some circles as the ANTI BLOKART MAN.

and they may want to string me upfor even mentioning the word

anyway welcome back and see you on a beach
