I checked my tire size today and discovered they are 8x6.5. I bought a 4x8 to see if they would fit my rims. They do, however, I had a difficult time changing the tire. (and I think I punctured the tube).

Does anyone have a simple technique to change tires?

I feel like an idiot not knowing how to do this, go easy on me.

Hi, Brian,
one tip I use is after I get one side on the tire on the rim, I inflate the tube a little so the tube will still go in side the tire and on the rim and then start working the out side bead on the rim, with the tube inflated a LITTLE, the spoons well normally push the tube out of the way instead picking up the tube and pinching it.
It was good meting you at Ivanpah. The Worlds are going to be a blast./Burt

Here on Friday.

Dishwashing liquid for lube, teaspoons for levers, partially inflated tube to make it easier, All on the kitchen table.

All with the telly on watching ANZAC day movies, having lunch and with the terrorist on the chair opposite me supervising.

I kept bending my cheap steel wheels.

If I tried to do this at the kitchen table with spoons, it would not only be the rims bent.

I bought a mini tire changer from Princess Auto for $40. Works great!
Quick and easy with no rim damage.

I am pretty safe for the time being, the Sandwichmaker is busy turning blue somewhere in Ontario at the moment,
Anna is over there supervising the impending arrival of grandchild mk1

mind you, I think I better start looking for another tablecloth, the tread prints will be hard to explain
well......actually they wont, Anna will know exactly what happened

Put some new tires on my mini today. The mini tire changer worked great.

Round end tool is used to take the tire off.

Took the stem out of the tube, put the tube in the tire and
put air in to seat the tube.

Need lots and lots of lubricant

The seating tool

Very simple and I didn't bend the cheap rims.

Yo! The Pearly Man! Hows tricks up there in the Iceman's territory? I trust the Flying Pig has not crippled you? Did you ever get to Snow Yacht? Me I am still in the middle of separation and selling the Abode which is now in the unconditional stage. We've had a bit of a problem with time wasters crippeling any other interest but have finally waded through them and have one that looks good.
