Self analysis !……..good thing or bad ?……..friendship?

I am very concerned of what appeared to happen somewhere else, I do have questions that in the fullness of time may or may not be addressed, or answered.

I am concerned of the haranguing that I was subject to, unwarranted, I think. The innuendo seems to be a bit ongoing.
Not that it really worries me too much. Aussie Shoulders.

My main concern is for that of a great site, Seabreeze, forum, landyachting, general. Equally, to that of a real friend [to me] of land yachting world wide [ un named ] as indicated by others.

There were at least 20 more points to post upon before an honest in depth discussion would be achievable or beneficial to anyone. Only considered normal where I have been trained and worked. I am of a school where pre discussion warm ups are the go. No screaming to the final results, deemed by some to be fatal. Under Experienced.
Over confident, disaster with intent. Aussie short coming, not me.

I find the comments about too long, not reading to be a measure of one’s suitability to undertake the possibility, A weeding too. If one is not willing to read what is written. Then they have no right to criticize. It only brings out, highlights, their own inadequacies. To paint me as some “JUDAS GOAT” is childish.
I would think that many people haven’t even read the publication of Susan Day, Memories of Lake Lefroy. That is amazing, the wonderful history and documentation collected therein shows what has been done with landyachts in Australia for quite some years.

I suspect that if some of you had been there in those days you possibly may have hindered that pioneering spirit too. Has anyone except me, read any of the recommended in depth books on LE.

There is mention of damage to Australian tourism, here I can trump your assertions. If you have not been directly involved, in remote area venture tourism.

Any one can buy a ticket from anywhere in the world for a remote adventure. There is no Vetting. It is up to the crew to deal on site, on tour, with all sorts of problems some of these people present with. Schizophrenia, on top of the list down to being legally blind and not even informing the ticketing agency. The daughter bought the ticket. Don’t pontificate about my ability to deal correctly.

I talk with people. I talk to people when I address a group, mob, gathering. When someone talks down to me they loose my respect,
I talk in writing. Criticize all you want, prove I’m wrong.

I know that some of my posts, can seem to some to be a bit higgly piggly. It seems an egotistical trip for me i.e. a legend in my own lunch box, to some. How ever I do read all, in posts that I wish to.

I read one today from America concerning, speed, it was very long, and detailed. Quite unbelievable, but signaling some thing that will possibly soon be occurring here in Australia. I had the choice, should I read that or not. I chose to read.

I could have replied in the thread if I wanted to. No one had flagged it either way. I gave it a green thumbs up. Saying, to me, thanks for that post it was worth reading. I agree

When I post in General, even landyachting general, I like to be a bit funny, sometimes, slightly irrelevant, maybe a bit controversial, pull a leg or two occasionally, but well researched. Thought provoking.

I will, wind, into a general story a little bit of Real Australiana, from my own extensive knowledge bank, or the writings of mostly smaller and under known Australians, both workers and observers.

I could see that some people were just shouting out, pushing their own barrow because they appeared to have not read the thread, or maybe miss understood it. They constantly went on about things that were all ready in print. Bottle talk? Aussie Habit

My little intertwines about Garrys, is a small insight that tells others that it is not a bad thing to help older and lonely people, To make room for others in your daily life, and have a laugh too. Aussie!

My mate next door and the earthquake, was a life observation of a friend that was having some personal problem. Even if I don’t agree with my friends behavior, I still must help, listen. Aussie mateship !

My piece about scouting is turn amount to what someone else posted today concerning a child of theirs. I believe that children can learn a lot with connections to many worthwhile organizations. Things that today are harder to learn, diss similar to when I was a child. We knew these things almost instinctively. Aussie learning.

The greatest hero or role model in my childhood was Len Beadell, an army surveyor. Responsible for all the exploratory roads in a big part of Australia. He started as a cub, then scout. Great Aussie.

I have had a wonderful and fortunate life, not understandable to some. What pieces of paper I hold as certification and approval for my efforts, and or abilities is not for discussion. However I will and I do take on board the experience of others, if they can prove to me their own abilities. In, word, writings or actions. Humble Aussie.

There seems to me to be enough for me to search my so called rantings, to look for a finger pointing trigger that may have upset some people or person, or contributed to their outburst. Questioning

A word I use sometime is Yuppie, that is not a crime. It is not personal unless you wish to think you are one. But I don’t know your perception of yourself, so if your thinking is he is talking directly at me, the hat fit’s wear it. Satirical Aussie.

Another thing I mentioned was camouflaged clothes, now if this was considered personal, that’s a personal perception, not mine. I think I may ask others what is their perceived annoyances, elsewhere not here. I am interested. Confused Aussie.

Something openly bought up here was about a proceeding that I am engaged in and a supposedly inside information as to reasons etc. Upon appointment with me by PM anyone may inspect or read the document, there is no perceived secrecy involved. Get real.

Also X had saved us all from something and we all should be forever grateful. That to me is a big call, which I don’t understand real good. Call me dumb or whatever, but ….Please Explain?….Aussie saying.

I have no political rattle to shake, seemingly as some here may do so. I am no ones servant, or mouth piece. I do not speak on behalf of others. I do discuss on an open forum concerning landyachts. Something that I do own, build and enjoy. Maybe different to yours.

I do not contribute to nannyism, I don’t watch Tv that I find insulting to my own intelligence, I am not a fan or reality tv shows, celebrity chefs, cooks, footballers, drugs and mugs, violence, cruelty, derogation of women. Just a little Aussie battler !

In Australia it don’t matter what you are or what you perceive your self to be. Ben Chiffley, prime minister was a engine driver in NSW rail service. When a fair number of railway employees went from bottle to throttle. A chip shop lady was the most influential person ever in Aussie politics. And the greatest media assignation martyr.

I do think that a forum is that of all types of people discussing things. When input comes from a new identity, I some time check out their profile. A nothing introduction, signals to me that something is wrong either here or with that person. Maybe others actually know the person behind the screen. I don’t. Aussie beware !!!!

I think these posters should be treated with some suspect when they fly into a forum. One of three chaps had only registered the day before, one post and as he said I’m moving on. Two others had only been seen by myself on one other occasion, when they posted to shout someone else down. Un Australian.

I suspect, they are doubly registered, or maybe triply registered forum users. Who can change at will to become hit men, a type of land sail mafia, Or maybe commercial pollutions engaged in the
under current, war, of words re two different types of builds.

These two members profiles, of the nut and the pin, tell me that they joined about a week apart, probably mates. Engineering leaning people know that if you leave the split pin off your wheel nut, then the wheels fall off. So I would think they are related as mates or colleges, in the industry somewhere. Questionable Aussies.

They can at any time enter and or leave as they wish and possibly have other forum names that they have in use except for spraying.
So if anyone gets suspicious then they just exit and re-enter with a new name, no blame, no responsibility. Unlikely Aussie’s.

I do think land sailing here in SA is poorly conducted, their site has said nothing for years. Some so called events appear to have been badly put together, and people have the audacity to scream in my face that I am destroying landyachting here, and worldwide. Now that to me is, an Aussie joke ! right? The Gilded Lilly.

For someone to take on in their own mind, that they are the go between for what they perceive to be landyachting as they would have it. Is to me being unkind to ones self.

I do not go for public outpourings of guilt nor grief. I have and will indicate my feelings in a different way or media, privately. Above all I do hope that it all recovers, and discussion continues, Tis good !!

G'day Joe. After reading your post I can say I agree with most and disagree with some, Im sure that you have no worries either way.

That said, many of your posts are just too long to read through without taking considerable time to digest them (Im assuming you agree that understanding a text is more important than just reading it ). Myself, I only get on the internet for short periods of time between laboratory work, I do not have the internet at home, and therefore couldn't keep up with the Lake Eyre thread before its unfortunate end. Others may have other reasons.

Unfortunately this is the internet and not a campfire. Im sure everyone would appreciate listening to a good story over some burning timber , as opposed to the facts and figures posted here much of the time

We all have moments of weakness, not everyone is thinking clearly all the time, and can angrily type something that they wish they hadn't typed the next morning...

... And even if the guy does apologise, will that make it all better? Experience says no. The best thing to do is just shrug your shoulders, raise your eyebrows at the world, have a cup of tea, and go do something you love
