I am a sidecar racers who also played with land yatchs in the 60's. I am keen to restart but living in Bendigo I am not aware of any local areas available, if any.

Hi there fellow Bendigonian! Its hard to find places to sail locally, and unfortunately at present I'm a once a year sailor and travel to Kingston SE, SA due to time and money constraints. Previously we have sailed a short distance north of Bendigo in a couple of sheep paddocks. Finding one that hasn't been overly abused by a tractor and seed drill for a few years is the challenge

There is a nice dry lake up at Kerang but unless it has water in it every few years the surface becomes too soft.

Any plans to have a go at building a landyacht? What area of Bendigo are you located?
