Hey everyone. I'm basically chasing a mast, boom and possibly a sail. So just wondering if anyone has any of those spare they would be willing to sell in western australia. I'm also a little clueless as to what size and style and so on I should be getting it anyone can help me with those.

It's probably a bit far for you - but when I was at the Balcatta recycling depot yesterday, there were a couple of masts down the back [left corner], alongside some windsurfing boards.

No idea what the new management charge - the old management were pretty reliable with prices at $10 or $15 per item [mast or sail or boom]
If a sail had been left there rolled up around the mast, or both were in the sail bag - they were classed as a single item.

A couple of times there were up to 4 sails in the bag, with a 2 piece mast @ $15

If you have any family or friends in Perth, ask them to scrounge around for you, Balcatta recycling depot has a pretty steady supply of windsurfing gear, as do many of the rubbish collection sites that have a recycling operation on the premises.

I used to collect heaps of masts, sails, booms, snow ski's etc and pass them onto Paul [Landyacht], Chook, and a few others.

Don't pass up damaged masts or sails - broken masts can be cut down for booms or used for mast extensions, damaged sails are a great supply for battens and can also be recut to different shapes.

I have a SDM 4.90 that has about 1m removed from overall length on the top section. Failed while rigging a large race sail. This is a Tushingham 100% carbon mast.
Forgot I had it until I looked at old sails on top shelf shed.
Anybody looking for a mast, PM me.
