This thread is not one I post lightly or have any intention of it being ongoing, or even replies required. Besides which my time is on going to be needed elsewhere.

In the early hours this morning I had to for the first time in my life dial 000. I found Gizmo (my husband) collapsed on the bathroom floor. He was taken by ambulance to Hospital and has been admitted. Diagnosis not being disclosed for privacy reasons as individual’s medical information is confidential.

BUT in Gizmo’s case his condition has been certainly not been helped by what has been happening on the forum on a particular subject which has now been locked. I am very annoyed by what has been occurring and mostly behind the scenes by some individuals who have responsibilities and should know better. The intregrity of some is sadly lacking. Gizmo was receiving many ‘PM’s’, phone calls and personal emails from individual’s who were expressing their distaste/dislike/ concerns regarding that particular thread. Those same individual’s were not prepared publicly to voice what they saying/thinking privately and some were prepared hang Gizmo out to dry and hold him responsible for the negativity on that thread.

You all need to remember you have families that are on occasions affected by what you say and do on the forum as in life. You all need to mind your manners and behave in an adult manner. If you have an issue/opinion be man enough to be accountable for it. Not leave it to someone else to say what you are thinking/saying behind the scenes.

We had the very unfortunate position of knowing extensive details and knowledge of what was possibly behind that trip and why other trips were blocked by Government Departments. I cannot and will not go into details due to confidentiality but needless to say Gizmo had all your best interests at heart and long term has done you all a huge favour. Whilst the words on that particular thread did not breach forum guidelines what the intent behind it was what Gizmo was concerned about. Gizmo had endeavoured to reach for a diplomatic result many times and in many different ways since the thread was created but was ignored and discounted.

Needless to say in the circumstances we are not available for calls, PM's etc for a awhile.

Enough said on the subject, just be aware as I said Gizmo did have all your best interests at heart and long term has done you all a huge favour.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes, they have all been passed on to Brian who is getting rather grumpy from being detached from his computer/broadband and mobile. His observational skills are not an issue as he has noticed that Hospital patient wrist bands are in fact made of Tyvek.
He is home resting very tired giving me lots of grief apparently he is under the impression that Im his personal nurse. The award wages are being currently renegotiated (in my favour) and his call bell will be wrapped firmily around something shortly. I dont get this much trouble when I work as a Nurse in Aged Care, mind you he is aging rapidly but not gracefully. oops!!

Cheers everyone
Karen
