I know its not exactly 'LandSailing' but this is what technology is up to.
Lots of good videos on the home page.... Got me thinking what could be done with technology and a land yacht?
Alright any suggestions along this line / subject..... What would you do?

They obviously went to a lot of trouble to keep the drag low on the SuperFoiler. And they don't do the same sort of high speeds that we do.
Drag! Thats what I am concentrating on anyway.

Re The Boom.
The whole idea is to get as much of the mainsail as close to the 'tramp' as possible. They guess the end plate effect is worth a 10 to 15% improvement. The only reason it doesn't go all the way back to the traveller is that there would be no way to get all the crew across the boat during tacks and gybes. The 'tramp' is not like we know. Its actually made of sailcloth, so its really a hard surface. End plate effect is why most passenger jets have winglets at the end of their wings. It just cleans up the flow massively.

interesting looking at the pics.lots of added on pieces and stays going everywhere. rather narrow masts for the sail shape and size. there seems to have been all sorts of messing around with the ama hulls to reduce nosediving. . .
