Couple of years back, maybe a tad more, around Clare Sth Aust, maybe Leasingham,
M+F, maybe attached traveling together in 4X4 , with collapsible larger style camping trailer behind, on which was a machine in a long blue bag, very unusual looking. M sported the obligatory " Hemmingway " beard.
I was sitting on a ride on cleaning the table drain in prep for fire season. I stopped them outa curiosity [the big long blue bag]. I think, they said it were a landyacht, ..........funny how the memory has flashbacks.
I had never seen landyachts anywhere other than Lake Lefroy and they were too big and bulky to transport atop a camper trailer. So this was my introduction to landyachts, beside my own venture that i categorized as a cart in them days. I thought that i was somewhat removed from others and very independent of mind and machinery. No one I had ever meet on my sail assisted walks ever mentioned what i now know to be landyachts. Public perception ???

This could have been round 2004/5 maybe, wonder who was it ??
