What is Wayungup like to sail on with a south easterly. I seem to remember a lot of hills to the east, or is it big enough not to matter

Fantastic day had by all who came to the public open day today. e-s/e 15-20kts all afternoon, so quite a bit of fun was had.
Some of the novices even managed to tip over the 2 seater with 2 up!
Should have taken the camera, maybe next week I will remember

G'day BAZL that sounds like a blast and yes would have liked to see photos, never mind next time. Tell me does the salt affect the frames and do you use anything special on them to stop corrosion?
Thanks
Brett

The lake here isn't salt so we don't have a big problem with corrosion. However the surface is quite gritty which tends to take the paint off when its flicked up by the wheels.

I usually repaint the underside of the chassis every year to keep the corrosion down. This year I am trying one of those super tough engine paints to see if it helps.

When I first saw a blowie I thought it woul rust out quick . the owner of that yacht got lazy with the cleaningand it did start, but we pulled out the little rubber plugs and gave the inside of the tubes a dose of FISHOLENE which sorted the rust out.
