Ransomware is on the attack if you have inadequate virus protection, seriously upgrade needed, i was on microsoft
till a friend pointed out the errors of my ways. the bees knees now , i hope

Howdy Gibba,

I have read about this and wondered so I checked my Internet Security, BitDefender, and they claim they block it. However they do make a free Cryptolocker blocker free for anyone else to use :-
download.bitdefender.com/removal_tools/BDAntiCryptoLocker_Release.exe

But before you download the above what AntiVirus are you using? If its Microsoft it scores nil (0/6) in protection by the no.1 test company Av-test. Whereas BitDefender scores 6/6 and is equal top rated. Microsoft Security Essentials is about the lowest scoring AV you can use.
