hi all, does anyone have or know where i can get hold of a set of construction plans for a class 3 yacht,

yeh i saw those, but i was hopeing for actul plans that i can spread out on the floor and go from there, if i can't find anything then these will have to do

In over 30 years in the sport the only plans I have ever seen were for the old steel tube Sandfly from Auckland club (about that long ago, so a bit dated) and the french version of the DN which was a bit more recent (but not a lot). Pretty much everything else has been evolved by people by themselves or in Europe the production yachts, Sanderling, Charc, Sandrover and their derivatives. The basic dimensions (which have hardly changed in 20+ years) are all that really matters, the rest is aesthetics and fine personal detail.

Sorry, I have no experience of class 3 building. They are too big for our local beaches.

BeachBall you may also want to search out J14 ice yachts or at least the ice yachting sites many of those yachts might be what your looking for.
