We had an afternoon picnic at lake gnangara today- plenty of wind and an almost totally dry lake.
Unfortunatly the local yobbos had been having a lot of fun cutting up the lake bed with thier cars and left a lot of ruts in the middle.

We set up on the eastern side of the lake and as soon as "Dangerous Goods" was rigged and tested the 3 kids got to play test pilots- but it was a bit gusty for them- and the pedals were a bit of a stretch for the youngest to reach.

Once I got the yacht back I worked my way around/through the rough stuff over to the western side where it was lovely and smooth and got up a full head of steam for some runs almost as good as being on lefroy salt!

A couple of times I managed to hit the wheel ruts pretty hard and steering was pretty dodgy over some of the bumpier bits!

Now at home I am starting to feel the effects of hammering over the rougher stuff....

whats the going price on a new set of kidneys

time to invest in a cheap camping foam. sadly the cars and bikes always manage to cut up the best bits, some kind of bogun intuition i suppose
