Today they replayed a scrapheap challenge from about 10 years ago where the challenge was to build and race landyachts that could carry 4 people. What they built weren't great, but some of the footage they showed of landyachts was terrific, including some of the Iron Duck and landyachts from the '50s.

Which "they"

The first "they" was ABC2 and the second "they" are the 2 teams on scrapheap challenge who have 10 hours to build a landyacht using only parts from a scrap yard. Given the time and resources they both did a good job, but one had to be mostly pushed around the track.

as i dont have ABC 2 , me and he kids had to make do with a camp out and a rippin sail across SMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOTH salt , oh well it will be back

If that is the same episode we saw here in NZ, a familiar face to some of you was the "expert" in the team whose yacht broke!
No less than Nord Embroden!
The yacht showed a lot of Nord influence!

At least his bathtub standart was a winner!!!!!!! Ive only managed to get upto a 3adult seater

and a 6kids seater so far

this was done on the uk version of the show, never saw the whole thing but remember the resident expert was Mike Hampton and there was an accident when gluing the sail together, sparks from a grinder set it on fire, oops

Haha, yep that's the one. There is no Aus version, we get the UK version too.
