wasabipaste... Interesting name

"Wasabi"- also known as Japanese horseradish, extremely strong flavor, its hotness is more akin to that of a hot mustard, producing a pungent odour with vapours that gets up the nose and nasal passages, often leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

"Paste" - often in a convenient package to hide true contents as not to get hands dirty and minimise work.

or is it just niaychi with a new keyboard?

interesting,
have been offered some rather interesting information,

yes have been and will have to spend a bit more time under the bridge fishing ,
one fact has come to light that we have 2 ALSA,s ,quite a simple search as to who is what ,
have been offererd the minutes of a meeting, Which i have been led to believe make interesting reading and an email with an offer to re do the minutes , will collect the information and will put up what i find as it is presented, with out the name calling, that seems to come
all i asked was about the nationals , strange how one thing leads to another

Why do some people crave information but do not give basic information. It is as though they think information is a weapon and that the information highway is a one way street

Yep you are absolutely correct, One of them has complied with the law and obtained ABN and submitted the correct documentation yet the other group continue to thumb their noses at the sport and not do the right thing.
This other group still tries to be the thorn in the side for the sport in Australia in many ways.
Yet they monitor seabreeze meticulously and squeal to administration when they are offended.

I actually received a phone call at one stage from one of the group "anonymously" and for about 30 Min's on car speaker phone and I couldn't believe the anger, venom and mistruths he was sprouting. Despite me asking to identify himself he refused with more tirades of abuse. What the caller didn't know the passengers in the car were fellow land sailors and knew a whole lot more about things than the caller did.

The "anonymous" caller was soon identified by doing a google search from the "caller id" he left on my mobile....

The sport might be better for ALL in Australia if they opened the "curtains" and actually participated in seabreeze.... give it a try, "test" it !!!!

Thanks Joe, no I'm all good here (touch wood)

Regarding this thread, please be aware that the current ALSA committee have made their contact details avialable and invited all interested parties to contact them, therefore I think this ALSA discussion should be taken offline.

the attitude seems the same,
next name will probably be "bigchiponshoulder" or "myattitudesucks"

is it worth starting up another forum heading titled "official ALSA info" and keep it updated with current announcements from the committee?

it might help keep our trolls from complaining about non existent secret motives and hidden agendas.

As a side note, I learnt years ago that the ones who whinge and complain and sling mud and kick you in the guts at every opportunity, will never volunteer to do the work of running a club or association, they are not capable of being helpful, and too selfish to do anything that will benefit others, but unfortunatly, we have to put up with these people.

I would have to agree with sn "is it worth starting up another forum heading titled "official ALSA info" and keep it updated with current announcements from the committee?"

There was a thread placed on Seabreeze over 6 months ago about the new direction of ALSA but nothing since and I can see why people are starting to wonder and the questions. Yet it still seems to be "an elephant in the room" that people must not comment on.
Let's face it ALSA is an subject that should be able to be discussed amongst interested parties providing the comments are well within the rules of Seabreeze.

Perhaps people are looking via the Internet at what various clubs and ALSA have to offer and how they treat newcomers before they consider joining a Local Club.

I mentioned a long time ago.... do we in fact need a Governing Body at all for just a couple of clubs? Has perhaps the Internet and Seabreeze taken over that role?
I will leave that to the member clubs to decide.

This forum seems to be getting more anonymous people than an Indonesian fishing boat or a Centre Link office...
Oh niaychi there are plenty of End of Financial Year sales at stationary stores at the moment for that new keyboard.

Easy.... put it up as a locked thread.... just like the register, LLMini construction, Yacht specs, land sailing videos etc, etc, etc. Trolls haven't got to them have they?
By doing it, it may stop some of the angst that has occurred in the past.

gizmo, the bush lawyer, one will assume that you have viewed the paperwork lodged to ASIC , i have so what is all of this , i sujest you do your home work a bit before you start making statements here as you only demeaned your self and show you have litlte knowledge Gizmo said. one fact has come to light that we have 2 ALSA,s

if you want a history lesson here is the place to start , we know each other quite well and for quite some time.
so you are conversant with constutions and the laws pertaining to them (which are quite strict) which you have displayed you have no knowledge of and have led people down the wrong path with misinformation, if you dont know stay out of it unless you have some fact to contribute,
you seem to be dealing with a double edged sword , i hope you are willing to fall on it you seem to want to go down that road .

im only interested in fact , which will be addressed , as im waiting on some more information from ASIC, as how to dismantle ALSA, which will then passed on to the true commitee,an Australian bussness name is nothing unless it is applied for in the corect manner which is refferd to ( look at sa consummers website ) as the second ALSA is only a piggy back to the orignonal. one can do with out the other , but the method that this will be done will seal ALSA a place in history (landyachting), A thing of the past , Want to find some one to blame look in wa . the problem starts and finnishs there .
as for other comments not interested wont waste time on them,
those that wish to contribute state fact , no room here for fiction,

Wasabipaste, from the sound of your last post, you have a lot of information on the two groups. Instead of starting a thread asking a question you seem to know the answer to, then arguing with other members, why don't you present the seabreezers with the information you have, and tell everyone what's going to happen with the national titles?

This site is all about making landyachting better, please give that a try

Gdonya you to Northern Fellas.. You live over the Global mid line and are (I think) fairly recent members and are very defensive of the Seabreeze Forum. I love you. Now all we need to do is get a similar reaction from the rest of the serious group. The OTHERS? I know nothing of but it is clear there is conflict with -in the ranks. Me? Sure I have the Poopies with the sight at the moment, for my own reasons. Silly or serious Fun is, I thought, what this site is about along with passing on information to All Interested Parties. What both sides need to realize is that Information belongs to no one in particular it belongs to all and therefore should be shared for the Good of the Sport.. Each side may well have their differences. So-be-it (Ahmen) Instead of Fighting an Online War --Shut Up and get on with your own thing Seabreezers (yes I subscribe) If you know who the Offender is ID them and ignore their comments. Sooner or later the Desert Wind will dry them up and they will blow away.
I am not Afraid to ID myself online though it is a risk, however for I doubt there is anyone out there who'd know me anyway. It is one thing to Joust for fun but QUITE ANOTHER to tear each other down in a destructive fashion.

the majority comments on this thread are applicable to the backbone that

exists here.....up front discussion. It does really seem to be above board

common sence, attacked by mongrels occasionally with idiotic gutter sniping,

hiding behind non discursiveness. If one cant speak their mind in open

communication, then to me their view point is unattractive to say the least.

Basically congratulations to the people who post here regularly from around the

world, who are real....you have made my world more interesting. Thank you!!!
