Lat weekend we went out hunting for lakes to canoe on . there had been good ran down at Lefroy and we're washed out down there. so we headed north in the hope of a paddle.
first stop was "King of the West". Ive sailed hobies here, but it hasnt flooded since 2000. Id heard that Kite buggiers have been sailing here , but whenever Ive stopped by the lake has had a typical spongy surface that many of our half salty lakes have when they dry out.
This time the recent rain has compacted the surface layer before drying out and its plenty smooth and hard for sailing on. we hope to get out in the next week or two for a sail. The Lake is3km x1.5 with only a few rocky outcrops and a smattering of samphire bushes .like this

finally found the good canoeing at Rowles Lagoon(too many flies) and at The Gap ,Coolgardie( the locals sat and watched us pick up all the rubbish)

You get that. Some people love work. They can sit and watch other people do it for hours.

You don't really believe this "Global Warming" con do you??? There are too many vested interests in it to give the arguement any cred.

Google or Wikipedia "Immanuel Velikovsky" to get a different slant on the history of the world and realise that the alleged global warming/climate change scenario is the least of our worries. Moses didn't part the Red Sea. Venus did it when she was still a comet.

Speaking of climate change, I hope we get one here on the East coast within the next week. Cheers Cisco

But if there was no such thing as global warming, wouldn't we still be in an ice age??

Logically speaking one would have to say yes. Some opinion has it that we are heading into one now, so get your ice blades ready.

Bazl make sure you keep the safety covers on when you try them out at Walyungup, Im told that sand and grit in the ice is hell on the blades.
