How have people attached their safety belts to their land yachts. I need to attach one to my Pacific Magic seat and want to know the best way of doing it without weakening the seat.
Cheers

On one of my yachts the ugly duckling I had to use a piece of chain bolted to the chassis one end and the other to the seat belt to reach where I was seating.

On a PM seat you need to lay in the seat and mark the top of your hip position on the seat. thats where it goes.get a good conditionbelt from a wreckand make sure you make it so it can be adjusted. wear it at all times with you motorcycle quality helmet. I got lazy/ overconfident a couple of years ago sailing a mini in acarpark and when I span and got spat outI slid down the sail like superman, tearing the sail on the gravel underneath till I hit the gravel myselfand covered the sail with blood ,which doesnt come out.
Thats why Im only the 2nd greatest landsailor in Australia!. CheersPaul

Thanks guys. Yeah I was wondering exactly where I should attach the seat belt to the seat. Unfortunately on the Pacific Magic the chassis doesn't go down far enough to attach to that and I was concerned if I just bolted it to the side of the seat it wouldn't be strong enough and may weaken the seat itself.
I was thinking of getting a belt that wraps right around the seat, then I just need to hold it in place.
