I'm in southern california, usa and thought the local sailing season was done, but it's been a bit windy and I drove out to El Mirage, about 50 miles (80 k)
I tried out my newly mounted ice chest (posted some pics a while ago) and it worked Great.
I also tried out a Brand New bicycle speedometer that I correctly calibrated. Turns out you just have to follow the directions Got the cart up to 43 mph (68k) a few times and routinely did 39 (62kph) Tallied up 75 miles (120k) for the day. Bought a new yearly pass for the year, @ $90 and found out if you buy it a month in advance you can save $10 I just keep getting smarter and smarter

Sounds like you had a great day! I am meant to be heading there on Saturday (8th) to look at a Blokart - weather permitting, I understand that there is rain forecast.

Love your camper by the way.

I was going to sail at Lake ivanpah next week. Go landsailing has shut down so there is no place to rent land sailers near Vegas. It looks like el mirage is only three hours away, do you know if there is a place to rent land yachts there? I have Wed. and Thursday free.

I don't think there is any kind of rental place at El Mirage but I am brand new to the scene and it might be worth checking through the NALSA or Windwizards websites.
