I'm sailing over to the Abrolhos Islands from Geraldton in a couple of days.

I've devoured what the WA Cruising Guide has to say on the subject, but any tips would be appreciated.

2 PDF's and a webpage, probably collected 10 years ago from a sailing magazine, just now uploaded to my OneDrive folder;

Can you make it accessible without a Microsoft account (which I don't have). Thanks.

Did some googling off the back of Phil's links. The video is probably what you want - same publisher as the document - FSC.

Make sure you register your intended stay with the fisheries. It is not a permit and it is free, but they are strict on compliance. They just want to know who is out there.

Turtle Bay on the north side of East Wallaby is my favourite (seems to be everyones favourite though) as it is fairly clear of reef and bommies, with an easy entrance. On the east side of the bay is a reef with usually plenty of crays to catch. Remember WA has a requirement to have a fishing licence if fishing from a boat. There is a little airstrip on this island if you need anyone/anything sent to you. A short hop away is West Wallaby Is and with a bit of care in you dingy you can visit Webby Hays fort and water well (first European structor built on an Australian Territory).

White Island is a very small but pleasant anchorage just north of Rat Island. You are not permitted onto Rat Island but it too has an airstrip and I'm sure in an emergency you would be allowed access.

You're in a cat right? You will have a lot more access to the hundreds of anchorages that I wouldn't be game to try with my 2.1m draft. But download the Abroholos boating guide for more information on the islands along with the Lat and Longs off all the public moorings locations.

I hope you like Bald Chin Grouoper. You can't not catch them out there. Enjoy your time at the Islands.
