Can't agree more Southace.

Fixtech is the stuff i use, superstrong, easy to clean up with metho also it seems to last much longer if you only part use a tube then seal with the cap supplied.

Remember I put a clutch on back to front and had to take it off and re install it. Well the fixtech tore the gel coat off the laminate, I was amazed.

Couldn't agree more with Andy!

sikaflex changed there formular over the years I believe and now it goes hard once you crack the seal.

The only problem with Fixtech I find is avaliblity in remote towns. I just paid $16 freight for two tubes but still worth it!

there was another product I think it was Profix a few years ago it had the same simualaltys as fixtech possibly the same company.

Haha you do have some kind of sense of humour frant! Good work

My Dad (a shipwright and commercial marine surveyor) was toying around with "sellys all clear" for a bit before he passed.....I think it was just all the Meds he was on as I thought it was just crap to use!

Brutal mastic tape. Put it on, bolt down the push pit. Clean up the excess that squeezes out. Never goes hard so it lasts a long time and the seal won't be lost if you bump the rail or tighten the bolts at at later date. I wish I had of known about it when I fitted my deck track.

Ha ha ha I actually googled "brutal mastic tape" thought it must have been a brand name. Google asked me did I mean Butyl Mastic Tape. Yep I think I did.

Fixtech for me but the butyl is very popular. Beware there is butyl and butyls. The most popular is from a guy in the US which is marine specific. Easier to group buy a roll asyou won't need it all.

More info here. With link to seller.
