I need about 35m to 40 ish m of 8mm short link 'L' grade anchor chain.
Can anyone help me find a good price - Newcastle /Lake Macquarie area.

Find a company that sells PWB grade L chain (not Whitworths as they don't buy direct so charge alot more), try Bullivants in Newcastle if
If you can't find it for less than about $15p/m send me a PM and I can get it sent direct from PWB to you.
Don't buy the chinese stuff, not worth the $$$

Bullivants Newcastle have what I want at $6.85 pm and cut length to suit.

That's their chinese version, not PWB aus made. It's OK but not remotely the same quality

I have not bought yet, so will double check.
Bullivants catalog states Grade L and to AS2321.

After extensive deliberation I have made a decision.
I have no doubt that Rumblefish is correct but - I spoke to a local very experienced similar boat owner and user.
His advice for my level of use - low cost is fine but reverse the chain in the locker every 12 to 24 months.
