I'm going to replace my cabin soft furnishings having scrubbed, cleaned and painted the interior of the Ericson and hoped the collective wisdom may throw up some clever ideas for below deck mattress/cushion that are resistant to mould/mildew/moisture?

I bought foam that doesn't hold water (closed cell ??). The base of each cushion is done in vinyl.
Anti-mould in the paint, oil of cloves for cleaning and plenty of ventilation. The admiral is onto any moisture or mould outbreak like a shot.

The one i used was Damp rid. Use the system thats enclosed and is designed to hang in a cupboard. Not the crystals as that will inevitably end up everywhere..

Thanks team, trying to come up with new cushion/mattress combo - hoping to find someone here that can recommend a reputable supplier in NSW ie Newcastle Sydney Wollongong range.

Foam Booth in Chatswood did mine. Not cheap, but great workmanship.

Thanks EC31, this has to last 20 years so workmanship and quality are what I'm after.
