I realise they no longer exist but I am trying to get a little more life out of these instruments that were fitted to my Seawind 1000.
My wind transducer for a 3100 series instrument was the favourite perch for a brahminy kite and has twisted its plug and small wires off. Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing the female plug (this plugs into the socket attached to top of mast)?
Or can I replace my transducer with another brand (the Simrad IS20 looks very similar)?
The wind display is perfect and I feel its a waste to junk it.
I also have a Navman Multi 3100 but the ribbon cable that attaches the screen to the circuit board has come unstuck. A common problem for this unit.
Has anyone had there Multi repaired or is it u/s? Do the Navman hull transducers work with another display?
Ok lots of questions but any help would be warmly received. If this isn't the right forum for this kind of thing can you suggest another?

I have the same instruments. I have lost the cup off my wind speed transducer, it still works but must be under reading, not that necessary. The wind direction side is very handy.
Have seen whole mast transducer units on eBay. Check out the USA and British eBay sites as well, I have been buying from there a bit lately. Often see alternatives mentioned for Navman stuff on the UK site.
I think I might have what your after in the Installation and Operational manual. The print is a bit small, I will have to check it out and get back to you. The previous owner of my vessel was an electronics engineer and there are handwritten notes down on the boat. I wont be going sailing till Thursday so will check it out then.

Would you believe there is very little info on the wiring of the mast unit. I have some photos of the diagrams, I can send you of what little info I do have, send a pm to me with your email address if you what them.

Ok I am making progress. I now have the wiring loom info that indicates which pin each wire goes to in the mast head unit. The plug is a 5 pin Fuji connector. I don't know much about these and assume the wires are crimped on the inside.
If I can obtain a new plug, I should be able to connect it and sleeve the whole thing.
I have also found a youtube vid of someone repairing a Multi 3100 display. Not sure if I will attempt this or go for new display such as the new Raymarine I70?

Hi. I have repaired 2 navman 3100 head units. it is very easy per utube clip.
I got the " elastomeric conductor strip" out of an old multimerer.
Good luck.
