Im going to Europe on SAturday for 5 weeks.
Will be in Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Nice, Barcelona, Mallorca.
Anyone hired any boats over there?

I am going over next year and plan to get a boat for a week in Croatia. An ex Navy mate of mine has been spending some months a year there for many years now, on his own largish yacht. I haven't got the details off him yet, he is over there now picking up his boat in Sicily, but he said get the boat in Dubrovnik. The photos he has had on Facebook make it look like a great sailing destination.

I've been to the Adriatic coast from Dubrovnik to Split, and all the islands in between. We first looked at hiring a boat, but the cost was prohibitive for just the two of us. We ended up just doing a cruise on a small Adriatic cruise boat. We got to meet some great people and saw quite a lot more than if we had sailed on our own.
The charter is more expensive in my opinion than what you would expect for an emerging economy, more than the Whitsundays. If you get a chance, make sure you go to Kotor as well, but it's the coastal islands that are my favourite. Have a great trip, what ever you end up doing.

im just keen on a hobie or laser to be honest. i can rent a power boat for about 400 which im gonna do in croatia. I was hoping id be able to get a small yacht. 22 foot or something..
