Hi,
My wife was flying the Channel 7 chopper over the river on Saturday the 7th of April, filming a regatta. She noticed a Moth with a red hull and clear sail and the cameraman got some pretty good footage which we have a copy of. If that sailor is interested in seeing it or obtaining a copy, let me know and I'll arrange to get it to you. She may bribe you for a ride on the Moth though!
Cheers

If it was a Hydrofoil moth on the St georges river then it was probably Luka. All the moth boys are up on Lake Macquarie for the state champs over easter. Can you make out the sail number as that will help identify but I know that any of the moth crew would like to see the footage, no matter who it is. Is it downloadable or e-mail able.

On your second point, it's pretty hard just getting one person going in a modern moth. Two could be a problem.

Thanks Jethrow, I should have said which river and which state! It was the swan river, Perth. John, thanks for letting me know, I'll email you shortly. I figured it may be a little tricky with two people! haha... They look like fun though! Is the prowler smaller than a moth?

The Prowler is a design of moth. As the moth class is a development class there are quite open rules to allow any body to design and build their own boats. There are now 35 Prowlers built and they have won the last two world championships. see www.fastacraft.com
