I am helping establish the Australian Weta Class Association and we have the opportunity to use the SportsTG (aka Sporting Pulse) website hosting service which I know is built on Typo3.
I last used Sporting Pulse 5 years ago with another organisation and we abandoned it as the design templates were poor, it became needlessly restrictive and expensive if you wanted to change the template (e.g adding a new sponsor logo) and it didn't integrate with anything else.
Could anyone with recent experience of SportsTG (for any sport association) give their opinion about the system from a site management perspective (especially design/layout tools, access levels etc) and integration with other platforms: (e.g Facebook, Google Calendar, Mailchimp) or does everything still need to be managed in STG.
The other option would be to build a site in Wordpress which I can do relatively easily and then link to STG for their registration/payment systems. Input from anyone who has gone this route would be helpful too.
