Simrad bought out Navico a couple of years ago. The Simrad units are the same as the Navico units except for the color of the plastic -- Simrads are black, Navicos are grey. Features and functions are the same.
Not quite right on the Simrad/Navico relationship. Navico which is not the same company of 20 years ago ( who put out excellent products ). That Navico got swallowed up somewhere in Europe I was told.
Navico today is the parent company of Brookes & Gatehouse, Eagle, Lowrance, Northstar (ex Navman) ans Simrad.
