Ive just replaced parts of my old VP 2003 engine cooling system. Not sure what coolant I should put in it. Suggestions please!

Use any of the major brands of your choice. Best to use the same as you use in your car. Just ensure you drain all the old stuff so that you don't end up with a non compatible type. Drain off the block too if you can.

I like the Tectaloy product, I've been using it since the mid 90s or the Castrol anti freeze anti boil in the concentrate.

From my experience, concentration is critical, I use a bit higher than recommended, also some systems likely develop air pocket.
I didn't know until engine went to over temperature, not easy to get rid off.

Anything marked 'long life' or 'LLC'. Cold climate is 50:50, so that's your worst case. Avoid mixing different brands/types unless you're desperate. Note: some contain a specific aluminium corrosion inhibitor which may/may-not be beneficial for a heat-exchanger.
