Hi everyone

As my Nautilus is now a Kiwi registered boat and they already had a Nautilus over there I've had to change the name. I'm ok with that as I wasn't really a fan of Nautilus anyway.
Anyone have some good tips on the best way to remove the old sticker lettering? I'm guessing it been on there a very long time.
I'm thinking heat gun and some sort of scraper??

Yes. If it's a fibreglass hull not too much heat. If your lucky it will peel off but if you use a scraper either a plastic one or round off the corners of a flat steel one.

You can get a proprietary vinyl remover from Graphic Art Mart of someone similar. It loosens the glue and stops the vinyl from breaking - mostly. If you don't want to use that, eucalyptus oil will help, but you do need to clean that off if you're going to put new lettering on over the original site.

Heat gun is your friend, but on the warm setting and not too close that it discolours the gelcoat.
