is it just me or are there not many boats being listed for sale over last couple of weeks??

I always have a look at boatpoint every couple of days to see whats being listed, (sort by newest/latest listing) and there seems to be the same RL on there for a couple of weeks

I have noticed the same. Boatsales and Boatpoint don't seem to be updating for newest listings.

Yachthub and Boatsonline work fine and are better sites anyway.

I only look at Yachthub and eBay. There are hundreds of yachts for sale but very few sailing dinghies.

A bit off topic, but how many ads do you see with:

Photos mixed in of a different boat
Completely different boat pictures v description
Blurred photos
Stupid photos ( I want to see the boat, not the horizon, nor your girlfriend or wife)
Gross exaggeration (just a little TLC? Yeah right)
Why (recently saw quoting brand new carpets yet photo is of rancid old crap).
Umm, check the mirror, nice photo of yourself, you should have smiled!
Spelling? Should have used a spell checker.

Amazingly, many of these kinds of ads are from brokers!

So. Search the ads and post a link!

I agree. The miss spelling is particularly annoying. That and placing ads in the wrong section of eBay. Long time advertising on sites like Yachthub, I've seen boats advertised for 3 years or more. Even worst is the constant dropping of the asking price, how hard is it to get a starting price from similar vessels. People that constantly follow the ads must realise the desperation in some cases. Who is not tired of seeing the ad in "Afloat" for the T cockpit Cav 32? Must have been there for 5 years!

Yep, agree totally. Some of them have been on various site for years.....they must still think that some bunny is going to come along and hand over their cash without doing ANY research!

I like to watch the agressive sellers, those committed to sell, discount their boats until I am sitting there excitedly telling the missus what a bargain, once in lifetime opportunity.......we should buy it It sells for a silly price and another comes along next week.....all the while the other clowns are just wasting space.

A bit like the housing market, those that really want to sell and find a depressed market, deal with it and move on.
