I am not much of a chef so need some assistance please.
The cooking utensil in the photos was on Morning Bird when I bought her 10 years ago. My wife used it once, about 9 years ago, to cook something but neither of us are really sure what it is called and what can be cooked in it.
It is in four parts.
The bottom 'bowl' which has a hole in the middle. We assume you put water in the outer ring.
A pan with holes around the outside fits in the bottom 'bowl'. The wire tray fits into pan on which you put whatever you are cooking.
The lid has an adjustable vent in the handle.
What is it called?
How is it used?
What can I cook in it?

Can I have it.
It is not for cooking, but baking on the top of gas stove.
You can use for any baking , bread , cake etc.
Larger boars typically have oven but for us with smaller boats it's perfect .

Thanks Charriot. I intend to use it in the future, I've just been slack in getting it sorted out.
With your advice I just googled it. It is a convection oven. Can be used for baking bread but also is an oven for cooking roasts etc.
Cisco, what do you think of this for the trip?

I think it is better than the $12 BBQ with cooler bag that my wife bought from Woollies yesterday.

Havefun, Cisco and I will take it with us to Lord Howe. I found the instructions and cooking menus/instructions on the boat yesterday. It adds very much to our menu options.
